This vase was created from a beautiful piece of aged (spalted) Maple wood that was on our acreage. The black lines woven into the wood are the "spalted" areas. They are created when a fungi eats into the wood and turns that specific wood area into a mineral. Aren't the lines beautiful. Measures 9" tall x 10" at wildest point x 2 1/2" top opening x 5" bottom base
