Bay Rum is a traditional scent that began on ships carrying trade to and from the West Indies back in old timey days. Sailors would use bay leaves to keep them from smelling like a sewer, and it worked well. Bay Rum was born out of those trade routes, and is still used to this day in men's soaps and deodorants. When combined with a shaving brush, you'll get a dense, creamy, foamy lather that is perfect for shaving off whatever is making you itchy.
