Iraqi Fig Tree

Iraqi is a honey fig with a flavor unlike any other fig we've tried. At peak ripeness, it has hints of banana that make it a truly unique fig! This variety belong to the Ficus palmata species, which is very prolific and grows wild in Africa. The figs are pitch black at peak ripeness with an extremely sweet yellow interior. Iraqi is one of the most vigorous fig varieties we have ever grown. Both Iraqi trees in our orchard grew 6-7' tall in the first year and produced a significant amount of figs. The production window on this variety is also extremely long. They will produce figs all the way until the first frost. If you live in a hot and humid climate, this is a must-grow variety!
