Italian 258 Fig Tree

Italian 258 is a berry-flavored fig that is highly regarded among the fig community for its wonderful, complex flavor. This medium to large fruited variety produces figs with a purple exterior and deep red interior. The complex berry flavor of this fig gives hints of passion fruit and tangerine in each sweet and juicy bite. Italian 258 originated in Italy and was brought to California in the 1980s by fig enthusiast C. Todd Kennedy. Trees are profile and will produce bountiful harvests once established.
