See third photo for reference. The Bishop’s Cap (Astrophytum myriostigma) is a beautifully geometric cactus known for its star-shaped ribs and soft, speckled surface. This spineless species has a clean, architectural form that stays compact and adds a sculptural touch to any plant collection. Native to Mexico, it’s slow-growing, easy to care for, and blooms with bright yellow flowers in spring when mature. Plant Care Light: Bright light to full sun. Water: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings. Soil: Fast-draining cactus mix with perlite or pumice. Temperature: 60–90°F; protect from frost. Dormancy: Winter dormant — reduce watering during rest.
