Baron Herzog Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemakers Notes Baron Herzog Cabernet Sauvignon is made by the Herzog Wine Cellars in Oxnard, California, founded in 1958. Joe Hurliman is the head winemaker and works at combining traditional winemaking with contemporary ideas and tastes. Baron Herzog Cabernet Sauvignon is produced using grapes grown in California's Central Coast regions of San Luis Obispo and Edna Valley. Each lot of wine was aged separately and all lots were blended before bottling. This is a very approachable Cabernet Sauvignon with berry aromas and impressive blackberry and spice flavors. The wine is only lightly filtered and may form sediment as it ages. Enjoy it with herb-rubbed rotisserie chicken, barbecued steaks, or hard cheese. This wine has won a Gold Medal at Critics Challenge.Kosher Supervision: OUAdditional Supervision: Rabbi Weinberger, Rabbi Teichman Producer: Baron Herzog Color: Red Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon Dry Mevushal Kosher for Passover: Yes Bottle Size: 750 ML 13% Alcohol
