Terrarium Description My Humboldt terrarium is a tribute to classic grand terrariums of the Victorian Era. From their invention in 1829, terrariums were quickly adapted by home gardeners for their beauty and function. The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew has a large collection of terrariums and ephemera from the 19th century that I referenced for the design elements of this case.   10” L x 10”W x 18”H (at the peak on 3" wood base) Glass is cut by hand, wrapped in copper foil, then hand-soldered using traditional stained-glass techniques Handcrafted wood base from in-house woodshop, with routed top to hold glass securely in place Designed as a closed terrarium for planted or potted plants A great display case for curios or a unique collection Heirloom quality craftsmanship from a stained-glass artisan with over18 years of experience Includes a fitted plastic liner for planting in See my Planting and Care page for instructions and tips Handmade in Michigan
