Crassula ovata 'Gollum'
Named after the J.R.R. Tolkein character of the same name, Crassula ovata ‘Gollum’ features exceptionally unique, tubular leaves. A small, shrubby succulent with an overall bright green coloration, the tips of the leaves will flush red when subjected to stress, such as very bright light or cooler temperatures. Adding to its interesting appeal is the fact that each leaf ends in a suction cup-like form, not seen in many other succulent varieties! As it matures, ‘Gollum’ can reach up to 3 feet tall and wide, and will form a thick trunk with uniquely structured branches with tufts of green leaves at the tips. Great as a statement plant or part of a rock garden in temperate climates, ‘Gollum’ is sure to make a great addition to any succulent collection. Capable of thriving in light conditions ranging from bright sun (avoiding the harsh afternoon rays) to partial shade, it is worth noting that the higher the light levels, the richer the red tips of ‘Gollum’ will be!
