The Night Shift

This painting is acrylic and oil on glass, behind a protective pane of glass. The actual painting is 8 x 10 inches and the frame is 9 x 11 inches. It would look amazing on a shelf, in front of a window, on a tabletop or even on a wall, although I think it would best be displayed near sunlight to see the effect of the paint on glass. This is a double sided painting, so if you prefer the other side to be on display at times, simply open the frame and flip the painting over. Inspiration: I get some of my best creative ideas at night, which leads to late nights in the studio. I originally purchased this frame to display a print, but as I looked at the frame in my studio at 11 pm the other evening, I decided to paint directly on the glass.  I stayed up for a few hours into the early morning and made a great start on this piece.
