Tear drop style racking is the most commonly used profile in use in the United States today. This size is ideal for storing a standard 48" long grocery pallet or placing wire mesh deck on a pair of beams to create a picking area. The baseplate is 5"x8" which is necessary for seismic zones. This image shows how Pacific Bend racking has a slight indentation in the front, giving it additional strength. Of course it is compatible with existing tear drop style beams.
