Maple Ladle - 16"

Description: The item you see in the photo is the actual item you will receive. This ladle is ideal for serving generous servings of soup, chili, and other dishes. The bowl has a capacity of roughly 2/3 cup. How it's made:This ladle is made from a sugar maple tree that had to be removed from in a friend's yard in Crawfordsville due to danger it posed to a home. I cut each individual utensil to its rough shape on the bandsaw and then shape it on a belt sander before hand sanding and finishing with organic distilled coconut oil. No step in the process is automated.  Care:All Leaning Locust wood utensils should be hand-washed. If you’d like to restore the original tones, you may occasionally treat it with mineral oil, butcher block oil, fractionated (distilled) coconut oil, or any other food-safe wood finish.  The larger the utensil, the more important it is to oil the utensil periodically. Larger utensils experience greater expansion and contraction during the washing and drying process
