Description: The curves of this design enable it to hug both the side and bottom of most cooking pans while being used by a right-handed cook. The spoon bowl makes it a useful tool not just for sautéing and stirring but also for serving. The leading edges of the spoon are beveled for better scooping and scraping performance. How it's made:This spoon is made from wood that was purchased from a local father-son sawmill and kiln operation. I cut each individual utensil to its rough shape on the bandsaw and then shape it on a belt sander before hand sanding and finishing with organic distilled coconut oil. No step in the process is automated. Care:All Leaning Locust wood utensils should be hand-washed. If you’d like to restore the original tones, you may occasionally treat it with mineral oil, butcher block oil, fractionated (distilled) coconut oil, or any other food-safe wood finish.
