Description: Spurtles are useful for sautéing, stirring stock pots, mixing dough, and wiping items off of cutting boards. The beveled underside of the edges maximize bowl/pan contact, allowing the utensil to slide under food. How it's made:This spoon is made from wood I harvested from a friend's property. I cut each individual utensil to its rough shape on the bandsaw and then shape it on a belt sander before hand sanding and finishing with organic distilled coconut oil. No step in the process is automated.  Care:All wood items should be hand-washed. If you’d like to restore the utensil’s original tones, you may occasionally treat it with mineral oil, butcher block oil, fractionated (distilled) coconut oil, or any other food-safe wood finish.  The larger the utensil, the more important it is to oil the utensil periodically.
