Write the Room BUNDLE | Phonics-Based Encoding Practice for K-2

These Write the Room activities combine fun and movement to engage students in phonics and writing practice! These make a great literacy center activity to help kids practice encoding (spelling) CVC words, digraphs, blends, long vowels, multisyllabic words, and more! To prepare this activity, simply print and cut out the picture cards and place them around the room. Print a recording sheet for each student. Students will walk around with a clipboard and pencil to write the missing letters or words on the recording sheet.  These Write the Room activities are easy to differentiate. You can choose between having students fill in 1-2 missing letters or having them write the whole word. There are color and black-and-white picture cards and recording sheet options. Also included is a sentence writing and drawing sheet to extend the learning which could be used instead of or in addition to the word recording sheets.
