Wallet with Day of the Dead Theme

I bought a small ceramic pin in Santa Fe with a Day of the Dead skull wearing a hat. This inspired me to build on the theme and create a multitude of hats, colors, and flowers thrown in. If you like the idea, but would like different colors and different hats, let me know, and I'll create one for you! This clutch purse or wallet is 7 1/2" by 4 1/4". It closes with a metal latch that is easy to use. Inside it has 10 slots for credit cards or ID and 4 compartments for cash or papers, including one zippered compartment. I begin by drawing the design on the leather, carve it, tool it to create a permanent three-dimensional impression, and then paint it. The paint is durable acrylic. It is finished with a protective sheen that can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
