The Cosmic Man - Lebo 101 Series - Lebo Premium Throw Pillow

I like the idea of taking a really polished painting and using the character of that painting as the central theme. For this piece I chose the painting “The Milkmaid” by Vermeer and within that theme I wanted to play with the ideas of the micro and the macro so you’ll see it in the blue field of the characters dress, you see the constellation of Taurus, and you see these satellite floating around it and they all lead towards the milk that she’s pouring. Then you see that I changed the milk to water and put the age of Aquarius there. So the age of Taurus leads to the age of Aquarius which we are moving into now and that’s the age of understanding and the age of global enlightenment hopefully.
