Khun Jaroon (Filter Coffee)

Jaroon is an integral figure in the coffee community of Khun Lao, Chiang Rai. Once known primarily for growing Assam tea used to make fermented miang, Khun Lao is now gaining recognition for its organic, forest-grown coffee. The village’s farming culture is deeply collaborative; neighbors help tend one another’s plots, supporting both the health of the forest ecosystem and the productivity of the community as a whole.
