The Upholstered Easy Armchair is a refined re-edition of the original lounge chair, first designed for offices and residences in Chandigarh and Ahmedabad. Retaining its signature compass legs and precise proportions, this version introduces structural refinements for contemporary use while preserving the material integrity of the original. This edition is available in two distinct upholstery options. Andaman Slate, a cotton-linen blend developed by textile maker Zanav, is woven in a simple Panama weave and dyed to a deep slate black. The fabric undergoes a specialized vat-dyeing process, where cycles of reduction and oxidation create subtle tonal variations— a signature characteristic of Zanav textiles. Alternatively, the KeSa Upholstery Collection, designed by textile artist Padmaja Krishnan, features upcycled Patchwork Textile, meticulously assembled from discarded and new cotton fabrics.
