"I love the challenge of capturing a moment in time that only happens once. Photography helps me be in the moment - it's much easier to be thoughtless with a camera in hand. If you are thinking about the past or the future you can't capture the present." - Thomas LaGrega found his love for photography at a young age in North Carolina, when he borrowed his father's 35mm to shoot his friends dunking a basketball on a 7 foot hoop. He currently splits his time between New York and California, but never stays long - he's often found on the beaches of Puerto Rico and Mexico. This photograph was captured on a historic 35MM film camera, which is part of it's beauty- so the archival look is presented well when printed, instead of ultra high-definition camera prints.
