Sprout Pellets

Medalist's new specialty pellets for horses come in two options Alfalfa pellets and Sprout pellets. Sprout pellets consist of barley sprouts, alfalfa, oat hay, and Timothy Grass. Barley sprouts are a fresh, vertically farmed feed that is processed into pellets within a day of harvest. The sprout pellets have vet-recommended optimal protein with 50% more energy than alfalfa hay. Because barley sprout energy sources are slow-release and easily digestible, this feed lowers the risk of colic and founder. It is a better feed for your horses. Feeding Instructions: Feed 1.5% to 2% of body weight per day for the maintenance of horses. EXAMPLE: If you have a 1000 lb horse, feed 15-20 lbs a day. Storage: Please store in a dry area. Super Sack Totes are weather-resistant, but not completely water-proof. We recommend adding a tarp for rainstorms.
