It is a selection of the Coffee Research Station in India, and it was created by R.L. Narasimhaswamy by cross-breeding C. arabica and C. liberica known as S288 and the Kent variety, a hybrid of Typica and an unknown other type. Both S288 and Kent are known to be resistant to many rust races, and the Kent variety is a high-yielding tree. The resultant S795 cultivar exhibits rust resistance, high yield, and a good cup profile with tasting notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, berry, cocoa, honey, and banana muffins. Beans are hand picked, washed and sorted by size to ensure AA grade export quality beans. Varietal 2 : S274 is a variety of Perdenia coffee that's grown in the Coorg and Chikmagalur regions of India.
