Raised in Los Angeles, she inherited a deep appreciation of art, artifacts, natural history, literature, and playfulness. Her creative practice ranges from working in the abstract with stones like marble and onyx, to working at the intimate scale of jewelry in precious metals. She is drawn to an aesthetic that is organic, gestural & loose, and looks often to nature, to the shapes of bones or shells, and to the movement of bodies to glean fragments of forms & figures that might make their way into her work. In the studio, she hand-carves each piece with the belief that jewelry should be both timeless and profoundly personal.
