Saigon Blend "S" Home Brew

Our newest blend -- The Saigon "S" Home Brew! We have not tried to make a taste-alike version of the Trung Nguyen S Blend because we know from our internal connections that the Trung Nguyen production facilities use a lot of techniques that are difficult for us to achieve with "Western" styles of roasters. Specifically, their S Blend is a high-volume-production blend that relies and some trade secrets like pre-soaking the coffee green beans before roasting. Pre-soaking restores lost humidity and results in the beans roasting at a lower internal temperature... parboiling, basically. This brings out a lot more of the flavor elements in the beans and a strong dark chocolate flavor. Now that the S Blend is our top-selling import coffee, and considering the serious issues we are encountering to bring it in, plus major price increases from TN and shipping, we want to be able to offer a coffee that will "scratch the same itch" if not be identical.
