This English Arts & Crafts vase—hand-thrown by Edward Thomas Radford—still bears the soft horizontal ridges of the potter's fingertips. And it is finished in a wonderful, dappled grey glaze—like a Percheron horse or some cold, distant moon or planet. Made in the Twenties or Thirties for Pilkington Royal Lancastrian.
