The opulent, Beaux-Arts Grafton train station was built in 1911.  Supporting the bustling coal industry, the station included B&O offices; ticketing; restaurant; passenger lobby and luggage handling.  Passenger service was discontinued in 1971 and it has been vacant since 1988.   As of 2025 it is owned by the Vandalia Heritage Foundation with a long term goal of restoring it. Note the station is built into a hillside.   The actual structure has a ground floor on the trackside but not on the street side.   We have included a ground floor on the street side to add stability to the model. The kit includes doors, windows, columns and some of the stone (terracotta) work as separate pieces for easy painting.   The walls are single piece without seams.   We rate this kit as "advanced" because there are a lot of pieces; some sanding and filing is required for the best fit of the parts; and it requires assembling subassemblies together for the overall structure.    Size is 9.8" wide x 2.8"
