I am a graphic designer, artist, and art teacher, compelled to use my skills to help the planet. I plan to create one design each day for 2022. These designs are for sale on organic and sustainable products to help spread awareness of our growing plastic pollution problem by reminding us that we can choose less single-use plastic.  About "DONUT USE" Design #68: This design with hot pink and purple is bright and playful. The message of less plastic is repeated. We don't need to be perfect, we can make small and deliberate changes, and collectively we will have an impact. If you go out to coffee you can skip the plastic top. Lightweight plastics like lids and straws are particularly problematic as they can not be recycled and tend to blow away. Better yet, bring your travel mug for a refill. Luckily the donuts from the local bakery can be served with a simple plastic-free parchment sheet!  These cool-colored bags could make a great alternative to gift wrap for a special person you love.
