Let's race to save the planet.  I have been a spectator at many racing events and I have been amazed at how much plastic waste there is from water bottles given out at the end of the race. Athletes need to hydrate, but there are better ways. When I watched the Vermont City Marathon this year I noticed that they had a giant filling station for the athletes. What a great idea.
