I was born and raised in the Southeast U.S. and currently live and work in Washington D.C. as a jazz bassist, composer and arranger. My teachers include Donald Brown and Jerry Coker while a student at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, as well as a recording with Vinnie Colaiuta and Kevin Hays. In 2023, I won a WAMMIE for Best Jazz Composition. I graduated from UT with a focus in electric and upright bass. I have performed at jazz clubs all along DC’s famous “U St” and in Paris, also large venues such as the There Bitter End, House of Blues, The Strathmore, Lincoln Theater, Kennedy Center, and music festivals. As a private teacher I work to help students grow in their personal areas
