Hummingbird' is grown for its WHITE bottlebrush flowers which appear in June and July, just when every garden in the South needs a little boost! Also known as "Sweet Pepper Bush" or "Summersweet" as flowers are VERY FRAGRANT (clove and allspice fragrance). Leaves turn attractive orange and yellow in fall before dropping for winter. 'Hummingbird' is a native selection, found on the banks of Hummingbird Lake at Callaway Gardens in Georgia.
