Kay Parris Magnolia

While working at Gilbert's Nursery in Chesnee, SC, our friend, Kevin Parris, discovered and nurtured an unusual seedling, probably a cross between two well-known magnolias, 'Little Gem' and 'Bracken's Brown Beauty', and named it for his wife. 'Kay Parris' is special for two reasons: 1) Flowers are produced in only its second year from seed and 2) Plants stay dense and compact without any pruning. Fragrant white flowers in spring, summer AND fall! Plants retain their leaves year-round.
