Meyer Lemon

While NOT COLD-HARDY in our area, 'Meyer' makes the perfect patio tree that's both ornamental AND fruit-producing! If you wish to "over-winter" the plant, simply set indoors before frost in the late fall. Set back outdoors after last frost in the spring. Small white flowers are intensely fragrant and plants begin bearing large, juicy, thick skinned fruit at an early age. Compact enough for urban balconies and limited-space gardens, Meyer lemons grow to only 3-4' tall by 3' wide when planted in containers where roots are restricted. Plant in containers that are at least twice as large as the container size plants are grown in at the nursery.
