Formally known as Michelia or "Banana Shrub", 'Serendipity' offers the same great fragrance (just like a ripe banana!) but with a heavier flower output than the species. Dark-green, shiny leaves with attractive brown backs remain on plants year-round and form a beautiful backdrop for CREAMY-WHITE fragrant flowers. The perfect size for smaller landscapes, 'Serendipity' is undemanding whether in all-day sun or partial shade so long as it has moisture retentive soil. Plants can be grown full to the ground as a shrub or "tree-formed" to create a gorgeous evergreen eye catcher!
