One of the most requested lessons from my students is how to read and write in cursive. Considered by many to be a disappearing art, cursive is all around us in the real world and an incredibly important life skill for students to master. Whether they want to sign their name at the end of a form or read some notes left behind by a coworker, cursive is often one of the most overlooked real world skills in the classroom. This is the second unit to follow up with my First Cursive Writing Unit. The amount of joy students feel when they can read and write in cursive is incredible. It helps them identify more as being an adult, and eases their transition into leading an independent life after high school more successfully. Scaffold their understanding and mastery of cursive with this easy to use, print and go packet!
