Assassin’s Creed Shadows transports players to the rich setting of feudal Japan, anchored by a soundtrack that uses traditional instruments as well as playful modern production techniques, nodding both to the time period and the series’ sci-fi, time-travelling themes. Composer duo The Flight (Joe Henson and Alexis Smith) return to the Assassin’s Creed series to provide the overarching dark, modern original score for the game. The duo collaborated with master Japanese players to craft subtle, deeply evocative music that shifts and evolves from expansive vistas to nail-biting suspense and explosive action. Players experience the story through two characters: the shinobi assassin Naoe and samurai Yasuke.
