This masterpiece, showcasing Tortoise's ever-evolving where they are in 2025, is released exclusively in Japan on smeared electron green vinyl. Tortoise, some of whose members have left Chicago, began working on their new album by gathering in Portland for sessions. "After finishing it, we realized there was a coherent thread," says John McEntire, "and there's definitely something different about it from our past work." These words sum it all up.
