Ripple – Recycled Glass Incense Holder

Handmade in Japan from 100% recycled glass sourced from discarded cathode ray tubes (CRTs) from televisions and monitors, as well as fluorescent lighting tubes. This dense, high-quality glass has been reborn into a smooth, weighty form that catches the light and shifts subtly with its surroundings. Ripple takes its name from the soft contours that echo the moment water begins to move. Its calm bluish tint is naturally formed during the recycling process and closely resembles masuhanairo - a traditional Japanese color first popularized in the Edo period.  Because each holder is cast and polished by hand, no two are exactly alike.
