DLite 600 Diamond-Resin Smoothing Lap

The D'Lite Diamond Laps are Resin-Bonded faceting laps available in 6 grit sizes from 600 to 50k. Just use water as lubrication! Grit sizes are color coded for your convenience. These diamond laps come in both Standard format with a 1/4" thickness and Topper format with a 0.125" thickness. These laps have a diamond impregnated, resin surface. With care, they are long-lasting and do a great job on gemstones.  The coarser grit laps, (325,600) of this suite of DLITES, should never be used for “initial” cutting/forming of facets! That is what “metal-bonded” diamond cutting laps are for!!!! This cannot be stressed more emphatically! Because failing to do so will effectively reduce the life and usefulness of your diamond DLITES.Once you’ve done the “initial” forming/cutting with an appropriate metal-bonded-steel-diamond lap, (325,600), you can then begin the pre-polishing process with your diamond DLITES.
