Lake Placid Christmas

Imagine yourself drinking in the crisp air as you gaze up at the festive town tree all lit up for the holiday season. That's how this piece was born! This painting was inspired by a photo my husband took of me at Lake Placid in the winter during our stay at High Peaks Resort. We had the pleasure of attending the Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll, which is the perfect weekend for experiencing a true Northeastern Christmas. The experience was so touching, I had to come home and paint a photo from the trip. You can see the misty views of Mirror Lake dancing in the background of this colorful tree.
