Summer Sundogs!
Ok, this is a new one for me too. Sundogs in JULY? I don't know if I have ever seen sundogs in the summer. It is fairly common in the winter due the the cold temperature. Ice crystals in the clouds reflect the light in such a way that our eyes see "sundogs". What about during the summer?Well, a little internet research taught me this.... In the summer, the same effect can be achieved by thin Cirrus clouds at 20,000 to 30,000 feet above the ground where the air is cold enough that the clouds are made of ice. If the clouds are thin enough to let light pass, a sundog happens even if the weather down at ground level is warm (it was approx 65 degrees and 90% humidity this morning.) Metal Prints show off vibrant colors in a way no other medium can. The image is printed directly onto high quality aluminum and takes on life-like depth and dimension for an impressive display that stands the test of time. A metal hanger is standard, and the print is ready to hang when you receive it. Canvas
