Garden Sage

Garden Sage Leaf, Cut + Sifted (Salvia officinales) - Spellwork Sage is commonly used as incense for cleansing and energy purification because its smoke has disinfectant properties. You can cleanse your crystals (especially those that are not water-safe), your altar, and other tools using sage. It is important to note this is NOT white sage, but instead garden sage. Not only is white sage smudging a closed Native-American practice, but the plant as well as Native practitioners have been actively harmed by its use in New Age rituals. White sage is found wild, yet because of relentless harvesting due to the prevalent demand from non-Native users, it is now threatened and becoming difficult for Native users to acquire. This is why we will never offer it in our shop and we urge buyers to avoid purchasing it.  On the other hand, garden sage is abundant and is NOT a closed practice, making it a perfect alternative for cleansing your space and energy! - Storage Expiration is 12 months after
