This exceptional Qajar carafe/ decanter represents a significant scholarly and aesthetic achievement in Persian glassmaking history. Executed during the late 19th or early 20th century under the Qajar dynasty (1785–1925), the piece demonstrates the technical virtuosity and artistic vision characteristic of this culturally prolific era. The hand-blown vessel features a striking cobalt blue matrix enhanced by meticulously applied gold gilding and sophisticated foliate ornamentation. Such examples are increasingly scarce in the market, making this an invaluable acquisition for collectors and institutions focused on Islamic and Middle Eastern decorative arts traditions.
