They have an uncanny ability to show us metaphors and symbols for things we need to work through in life that we may not be aware of yet. A shaman is one who "sees in the dark," or who has the ability to walk through different states of consciousness to aid others to see through their darkness and arrive at the light. This painting reflects the beginning of the unfolding of my journey with shamanism and learning how to walk this path.  Fun Fact:  This painting was created live-painting while on tour with the band Solar Circuit. It was completed in Boston on New Year's Eve of 20
