Myrtle's Brandy

Myrtle's Brandy dahlia tuber.  1 tuber.  A beautiful red-and-white bicolor dahlia with lots of variation on the flower. Large plants are covered in striking, slightly nodding blooms. Each flower brings a surprise- some more white, some more red, and some perfectly balanced. Stems are strong with dark emerald green foliage, and flowers hold up well in weather. Details: Bloom size: 4-6" (sometimes larger) Plant height: 4-6' Bloom type: Formal decorative Planting: Your tubers can go directly into the ground in the spring when the ground has warmed and there is little chance of frost. One good guideline is to plant in the same time frame as you would a tomato. If you want blooms as early as possible, you can start the tubers indoors in good light about a month before planting time. You will then have a small plant ready at planting time. Dahlias can be planted as late as mid-June in most parts of the country.
