About the One Person Operation Stair Chair LINE2design Emergency Evacuation One Person Operation Stair can be operated by one person to evacuate an individual down stairs, if the individual weighs more than 175 pounds, two operators will be needed.  The Emergency Evacuation Chair uses belts mounted on two tracks that allows the chair to balance and glide on the edge of the stairs while slowing momentum and relieving the operator from bearing the entire weight of the individual.
