REALITY TV- Although I drew this long before social media was truly a 'thing' (circa 2004), I feel that this image can represent all forms of public advertisement. At first we may have questioned those behind the screen on reality television shows that claimed that what you saw was in fact true (as opposed to being slightly fabricated by producers.) Today, some influencers stand behind the screen and sell products and hope that their pitch 'reflects' in purchases. But do they truly stand behind what they say, or is it monetary compensation that pushes their 'ad'? Do you see yourself in someone else that you see behind the screen? Are we truly living for what is presented to us through an electronic device? Who knows? We will have to 'watch' and see... MEDIUMS- Ink and graphite pencil.
