High Performance ES9038Pro Chip At the heart of this X18 is a digital/analog conversion stage using an ESS ES9038Pro chip, known for its incredible performance and its ability to provide a particularly accurate and transparent sound reproduction. The chip has here an independent power supply allowing it to reveal its full potential. Embedded Altera Max V CPLD The embedded Altera Max V CPLD incorporates a number of technologies, including clock management, PLL, DoP decoder and digital filters. I/V Conversion The X18 has no less than eight independent I/V converters, each dedicated to a channel of the DAC, using OPA1612 AOPs. These offer excellent measurements with extremely low distortion and noise levels. Resistors with a tolerance of 0.1% are used for the key sections of this I/V converter.
