ACHAVAL FERRER MALBEC MENDOZA ARGENTINA 2021

The textbook definition of Malbec in a very good vintage. Bright violet in color, this wine is fresh and floral, featuring blackberry, plums and violets on the nose and palate. The wine is soft and round with a noticeable minerality, silky tannins mark a lengthy finish. Low yields, careful vineyard management and low intervention winemaking are the hallmark of this wine. James Suckling 92 Racy strawberries, morello cherries and haw fruit. Some cinnamon and cloves, too. Medium-to full-bodied with some white pepper and green olives. Solid, fine-grained tannins.
