When he was 16-years-old, Blanton started to work in a distillery as an office boy, and it did not take much time before he was the leading pioneer of bourbon development. He was made the president of the company in 1921, at the age of forty, and he retired in 1952. During his time as the president, the distillery expanded from 44 buildings to a much larger 144. This made their Distillery the largest of its day. During that time, Albert decided to create his own very special, and limited supply of bourbon.
