Lisa Congdon's House of Cards: Ode to Charles and Ray Eames was produced in a limited edition for the "Hold It Lightly" museum exhibition at Saint Mary’s College Museum of Art, as a nod to the classic toy originating from the Eames' studio in 1952. The cards are printed with images that can be built into three-dimensional structures. Each card has six slots that allow the cards to interlock and create structures of many shapes.  The Eameses chose images of what they called “good stuff” to celebrate familiar and nostalgic objects from the animal, vegetable, and mineral kingdoms. In Lisa's iteration she uses images from her portfolio and personal collection to create this playful and colorful version of the original game. Each card measures 8.5 x 11" 20 unique cards on stiff paperboard Limited edition collectors item - only twenty sets exist ABOUT THE SHOW Exploring themes of joy, liberation, and radical inclusion, in her latest body of work Hold it Lightly for an exhibition
