Antique Grape Hotte

A French zinc short grape hotte originally purposed for harvesting grapes in the Château Cos Labory vineyards, this red vessel has the vineyards hand-painted name and label on the front.  On the back are the original leather straps meant to hold this as a backpack against the pickers back. Château Cos Labory is a prestigious winery located in Saint-Estèphe, France. For over two centuries, the Labory family has upheld the tradition of excellence in winemaking. This grape-shaped hotte is a beautiful example of French wine cellar art.
